EmpowerHER WILD Program

Feminine Survival & Land-Based Immersion

-Through instinct, skills, embodiment and living earth-

Farm & Desert Immersion: Sept 24th-30th - Delta, Colorado

Preparedness Zoom classes: Aug 19th, 26th & Sept 2nd (times below)

$1299 Investment (3 payments of $433)

Most women have been taught to override instinct and to rely on systems instead of the body and nature.  EmpowerHer Wild guides us to return to the earth in self trust instead of performance.

This is a land immersion into women's survival training in Colorado. It's a recalibration of your relationship to self trust, skill and primal instinct. You won't leave the same as you arrived.

Join Tara L. Skubella, founder/ guide of Earth Tantra  & Naked and Afraid 21 day survivalist (S5E4 - The Swarm) as we learn shelter, fire, preparedness and land awareness through presence, practice, instinct, groundedness and ceremony in a rite of passage unlike any other women's survival offering. Earth Tantra has been rewilding and supporting women since 2016.

Common Questions

I'm not that outdoorsy or an athlete, can I still participate?
This is a good place to begin. You don't need to be an athlete or have backpacking experience to be a part of EmpowerHER WILD. This experience is for any age people (18 and older) who can hike 2 miles slowly up hill with full backpack, and sleep on the ground. Even if you are afraid of animals or night creatures, we will teach you the skills to improve trust with self and the environment. There are also safety measures in place that will put many minds to rest. You'll also learn the mind and heartset of survival from an Earth Tantra women's approach. You are more powerful than you think, and this is the perfect opportunity and circle to embody your earth sense and gain confidence! Beginners are welcome and encouraged!

How is EmpowerHER WILD different from other women's wild retreats or survival schools?

This is both without minimizing the other. It's not very often the survival world mixes with the spiritual connection of the land, and even more so from a feminine path. This immersion experience also creates the space to integrate in a 2 night silent solo quest. So, you aren't just learning skills, you are embodying the totality.

Can I arrive late or leave early for the in person experience?
Unfortunately, each part of the day builds upon each other to support the next step, so we request that each participant attends each zoom session and in person parts in totality. Thank you for understanding as we create a safe space of wholeness and preparedness.

Can I bring alcohol to this event?
No, all Earth Tantra events are alcohol and drug free. Thank you for respecting our sober requests both online, at the farm and during the solo quest. We will be releasing lots of our own naturally happy chemicals to compensate for external methods.

Is there a discount for bringing a friend?
No, it's priced just right for all that each participant receives - about  6-10 participants. And we hope you bring a friend anyway!

I'm traveling, do I still need to bring a potluck item?
Yes, absolutely. However, make it easy on yourself. Bring something easy and store bought like chips/salsa, hummus and pre-cut veggies, pre-cut fruit, etc. The potluck item must be ready to go/ table ready. If you live close by and would like to homemake a dish, that is welcome too.

What gear do I bring, and is there any to share?
Scroll above for the gear list. Tara has 1 all gender backpack, 2 extra tarps to share, 2 farrow rods,  2 knives and 1 sleeping bag to rent. $20 per item in cash (ONLY). You'll receive the cash back if the item is returned in the same condition and clean. You'll be required to check in your gear 1 week before the in person experience via zoom.

What payment plans are available outside of the sign up fee & final balance.
Yes, please reach out to Tara. Be reminded that any funds paid prior to the in person experience are non-refundable. So, we encourage you to set aside or save the funds to bring on day #1. This option protects you.

What is the certificate of completion?
The certificate of completion is just that. It's NOT a training to teach others survival skills. It is a complimentary reminder of all the amazing things you accomplished during EmpowerHER WILD. The certificate is given during a closing ceremony.

I'm going to fly. Where do you recommend flying into that's close by?
If you're going to fly, consider the gear that is required. You may need to purchase an item upon arrival since some items are not allowed by TSA. If flying still works for you, we suggest flying into MONTROSE/TELLURIDE airport since it's only a 25 minute drive. You'll need to arrange for a shuttle or ride share with another participant since UBER/LYFT do not run on a regular basis in our area. You can also check out GRAND JUNCTION airport at 1 hour away. Again - shuttle or ride share with another participant is recommended. Tara will not be able to pick up/ drop off anyone.

If you could wrap up this experience in one paragraph, what would it be?
Empower Her Wild is a women’s survival training and land-based immersion in Colorado designed to teach real-world survival skills through instinct, body awareness, and direct experience in nature. This program combines primitive fire, shelter building, land navigation, preparedness and a solo quest wilderness experience with nervous system regulation and embodied awareness. We blend in real life survival applications while balancing a spiritual connection with self, land, others and beyond.
