This retreat is for those ready to just bee - not constantly doing. The bee hut is a cell phone free zone. We ask our guests to be sober and leave any alcohol and drugs at home. Bees pick up on mind altered states anyway and perceive this as a threat. The Space?

the retreat takes place on 8 stunning private acres at the Earth Tantra Outdoor Center and Raven Wild Farm Stay (and BeeZen Huts) in Delta, Colorado. We honor this land as the ancestral territory of the Native American Utes, holding deep respect for history and spirit.

Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Grand Mesa to the north and the distant Elk Mountains to the east, this high-desert sanctuary sits at an elevation of 5,200 feet. The property offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty:

  • Towering cottonwoods, elms, and vibrant trees like crabapple and maple

  • Open fields, a small pond, loving lavender and peaceful rabbit brush

  • Hidden micro-spaces for privacy and reflection

  • Bee therapy hut (with limited access)

  • Private outdoor bathhouse/nature spa shower

The communal areas include:

  •  Cozy hammock spots for rest and relaxation

  • An outdoor kitchen and eating patio

  • A wood lounge deck and partially shaded outdoor circle

  • A fire and dance space and ceremonial tipi

  • 1/3 mile hiking trail

The land is also home to 5+ bee hives (peacefully tucked away), dozens of bird species, local plants, chickens, and two outdoor cats, along with two friendly dogs. Wildlife like foxes and raccoons may wander nearby, but larger predators, such as bears and mountain lions, are not present. This sacred space is imbued with a gentle, welcoming vibration—many feel the presence of kindness, healing, and the protective energy of the land’s spirit, lovingly referred to as Grandfather’s Protection. It calls to support all who seek healing, growth, and spiritual transformation.

What Students Are Saying about Bee Zen Huts & Earth Tantra

"Working with Tara and the bees felt like a premium healing journey. I'm leaving more centered and connected to my inner magic. Thank you bees!" 2024 student

"Sitting with the bees allowed me to tune into the subtle senses of the very present moment. I arrived disconnected and little with little joy, but left refreshed and centered. The bee hut smelled like honey and baking rolls. My compassion for myself (and the bees) grew exponentially". 2024 student
"Everything exceeded my expectations.  I liked the space was inclusive and non-judgemental.  This
allowed me to explore my own limits without judgement"  2023 student

"My biggest takeaways from  learning with Earth Tantra is understanding more that movement is for the body and stillness is for the mind, while combining with the arts of #stopconnectlistentrust.  It’s okay to to take a brief moment throughout the day to drop to your center, connect to your root and just be.  It's important to connect with ultimate mother, Gaia, as she is always there for us.  Thank you from the bottom of my root to heart".  2022 Student

“I discovered grounding into my root rather than my heart center allows me to stay in my feminine.
The root chakra is SO POWERFUL!”  2018 Student

COMMON QUESTIONS
When should I arrive?  When are we finished?
Arrive between 3-5pm ONLY. No early admittance.  Please not before or after. Allow extra driving time for heavy weekend  mountain traffic and Colorado summer construction.
What is the space like?
Earth Tantra Outdoor Retreat Center is located on 8 private acres on Tara's farm called Raven Wild Farm & BeeZen Huts. We are a healing farm with chickens, bees (they keep to themselves), small various gardens, nativescape, 2 small border heeler dogs, deer, over 2 dozen different birds, incredible views of the Grand Mesa, wisdom filled cottonwood trees, and a variety of other trees, a tiny pond, open field, shaded hammocks and lots of nooks for private silent meditation. The area has shaded and exposed eating/ lounging options as well as a beautiful 20 foot ceremonial tipi.  We are NOT a pet free home, however there is 1 pet free sleeping hut available. All of our indoor spaces are shoeless, smokeless and low chemical home. NO perfumes inside building including scented lotions, etc - more natural soaps/ shampoos are provided. Thank you for respecting a home resident's chemical allergies.
Camping vs Indoor Room?
If you truly want to embody mother earth, we suggest camping. If you are camping, we provide rustic outdoor options - A place for a tent, car camping or small campers. Hook ups/ electric are not available, however you'll be able to charge a phone outdoors in the bathhouse. We offer an outdoor inclosed private shower with warm water and rustic bathroom.  Keep in mind, campers DO NOT have access to indoor bathrooms or the inside of the house, including kitchen. Drinking water is provided. If you'd like to camp but don't have a tent or are flying in, we highly recommend our tiny glamping A-frame hut that's insulated and has a door bugnet.
What food is served? I have dietary needs.
We meet many dietary needs including gluten free, vegan, meat eaters, dairy free and more. We are NOT a nut free space. When you sign up for your spot, the registration will ask you your dietary needs. We typically use food from the farm and locally whenever possible. Brunch usually is served with our happy pasture raised chicken eggs, homemade yogurt, fruit and toast or gf granola.  Dinners range from grilled chicken and veggies to only grilled veggies. Something sweet is shared for 1 of the dinner meals. We share a variety of herbal teas, caffeinated black teas and no mold high quality coffee with milk or dairy free milk choices. We share a lot of our honey with meals, and yes, we sell that honey too!

Why can't I use my own soaps or shampoos in the showers or in the house?
For 2 very important reasons. Our outdoor  nature shower waters the beautiful cottonwood trees shading the shower. Please use our earth conscious plant safe products only. Our house is low chemical and fragrance free due to a household member being extra chemical sensitive. They will go into a 24hr migraine - and will miss work, etc. You can apply your lotions outside of the house. Please only use our products provided in the house. Thank you for respecting the land and household members.
What do people do in the bee hut?
Most people meditation, do breathwork, read, journal, sleep or just bee. If you are with us for overnight retreat, you can sleep in the bee hut if you'd like. We will talk more about the expectations around that during the tour.
What if I"m allergic to bees?
Although you'll be separated from the bees, it's important to bring your epi-pen, just in case. We are located 1.5 miles from the Delta, hospital.

How is the weather?
Be prepared for 50s to 100 degrees in the summer. July and August are usually around 100 degrees. Autumn and spring can fluctuate between 30's to 80's. Most of our time is spent outdoors, in the tipi or you in the hut. Be prepared for rain. The center has a tipi and shaded areas.
Is this an alcohol friendly event?
No, it's not. We ask all alcohol and recreational drugs stay at home.  We move enough energy to release our happy brain chemicals naturally with Earth Tantra. Also, we must be 100% sober when connecting with the bees. They pick up on any mind altered states and consider this a threat.

What about transportation and airport transfers?

Montrose airport is 30 min away.  Grand Junction airport is 1 hr away.  Denver airport is 6+ hrs away.  UBER and shuttle vans don't run often as Delta is a very small town.  However, it's possible to arrange for a airport transfer with Sunshine Rides.  Car rentals are available at all airports. Tara will NOT be able to .pick up students.
